San Jose Native and NFL Cornerback Chido Awuzie Invests in Nirvana Soul

BIG NEWS: NFL star Chidobe “Chido” Awuzie has officially joined the Nirvana Soul Coffee family!

As a San Jose native and longtime believer in our mission, he is now an investor in the brand.

This partnership isn’t just about business. It’s about purpose, people, and planting deeper roots in the city we all love.

When we opened Nirvana Soul, we set out to do more than just serve incredible coffee. We wanted to create spaces where everyone could feel seen, celebrated, and inspired. Chido shares those same values.

Whether he’s defending passes on the field or empowering the next generation – through his creative collective, BeAfro, and his annual free to attend Good Fight Youth Football Camp – Chido lives with intention. And now, he’s bringing that same energy to help us grow Nirvana Soul and continue building something meaningful here at home and beyond.

“Investing in Nirvana Soul is personal to me. It’s about investing in ownership, in community, in creativity, and in the kind of spaces I wish I saw more of growing up.”

For us, this is more than a milestone. It’s a moment of alignment. A chance to deepen our roots, widen our impact, and keep pushing toward a future we believe in.

“We’ve always said Nirvana Soul is about joy, culture, and community. Chido embodies all of that. We’re proud to welcome him into our story, and so excited for what’s next.”
Jeronica Macey, CEO & Co-Founder, Nirvana Soul

Welcome to Nirvana Soul Coffee, Chido. Let’s keep building! 💕
