Super September
We started this blog with our first post on March 22, 2019. Just over five months ago! We’ve looked at at least a dozen prospective locations, put an offer in on one, couldn’t reach an agreement, got sad, started over, and now we’re currently reviewing a lease for a new place that just might be our spot.
Back to Work: Go On & Glow Up
After nearly six weeks off, I’m back to work and feeling better than ever. It’s amazing what a break can do! But I couldn’t let this time go by without sharing the greatest lesson I learned along the way.

How’s this for breathing room?
Last week at work, my role was terminated. That’s a nice way of saying I was let go, which is a nice way of saying I was fired. A shakeup like this can be devastating, particularly for a recovering perfectionist like me.

The last couple of weeks have been quite the rollercoaster. From putting in an offer on an existing cafe to not being able to reach an agreement on said cafe, it’s been a test of our will to simply keep going. Not to mention, we both still have our full-time jobs!
